Rotating drum type magnetic separator for low cost, and efficient system suitable for ferrous applications broaching, gun drilling, hobbing, milling, grinding, rough and finish grinders, centerless ID & OD, thru-feed, hones, lapping machines, creep feed, cylindrical roll, double-disc, and thread. Rare Earth magnets are available.
Our exclusive patented feature, the Shunt Plate at the top of the drum, “blocks” the magnetic force of the ferrite magnets and provides an effective pushing action once every revolution to help move swarf down the chute while forcing most of the coolant back into the coolant tank.
The Barnes unit is available in five standard and five rare earth models to accommodate a wide range of flow rates and machine configurations.
